CHAPTER 6 : “THE NAZIRITE”
Honor
Sitting in my glory chair (a normal chair in my house I use to engage Heaven), I decided to re-engage the beach. Before I closed my eyes I had a sense there would be someone waiting on me. Even from Earth I could begin to sense things about this person. He was massive in spirit. It would take a good deal of confidence and realization of identity to not be intimidated by whoever this person was. He was gentle but fierce, bold and brutally honest. Laughing to myself, I had enough of feeling what he was like and closed my eyes to go see him. Appearing on the beach to the left and some distance from the gate, I was immediately startled by the mountain of a man that was in front of me. He was a mountain not because of dimensional size, but of power and honor. Sampson was the embodiment of honor, humility, meekness and might - so much to the extent I considered bowing to show respect, and it was difficult to look at him. Looking at me directly, almost through my eyeballs into my soul, Sampson addressed me with a gentle tone, “Hello Joseph. I am honored to meet you.”
Gathering the confidence to speak, still questioning myself, I said, “How is it you are honored to meet me? I do not want to play the false humility thing, I am genuinely curious.”
Smiling he said, “You ask the question because you have no concept of honor.”
I paused for a moment checking my heart, “Ok, will you teach me?”
Sampson did not answer my question directly but continued, “You must begin to see yourself as who you were before the foundation of the Earth. As you continue to grow in the knowledge of who you were then, you will begin to see the enormity of who you are now. Honor is first about how you see yourself, then about how you see others. Honor comes from the Heart and is the result of the work done within. Respect is the action that necessarily follows the work Honor has done in your heart. The reason you feel so much honor in Heaven is because the hearts have been purified.
“Meekness is the foundation from which honor grows. Strength bridled by rest (which is meekness) creates an atmosphere where honor can manifest. All of the men I killed were honored before their death not because of aggressiveness or skill or might (all of which were present) but because I lived in meekness. I had a sober view of myself (there were great areas of weakness in my life) so I was able to see those who were trying to kill me from the correct perspective and honor them well in their death. Because I could see myself well, I could see them well and was able to act accordingly.”
Astonished Sampson could relate killing his enemies to honor in such a clear way, the only thing I could say was, “Wow.
